  • Auction House Market (map)
Simply Translated,  kokedama means “moss ball.”

Escape the heat while immersing yourself in the lushness of the Auction House Market indoor garden. Treat yourself to a relaxing and meditative experience learning the Japanese art and craft of Kokedama, an ancient variant of bonsai. This class will focus on edible and tropical kokedama specifically. After class, we encourage you to shop our exclusive houseplant, indoor tree and planter curation as well as our handcrafted botanical artwork. Delivery & installation is available for all purchases.

  • We'll bring the tools, supplies and plants, you bring your creativity. We'll teach you the proper techniques for plant selection and kokedama construction.
  • You’ll get your hands dirty with our custom-mixed Louisiana twist on bonsai soil, and leave with your newly constructed botanical art and the knowledge of how to nurture it for years to come.
  • We'll offer styling tips and examples of how you can incorporate kokedama into your own environment, whether it be via vertical string garden, atop a ceramic dish, or strung from a wall...we'll help you find your kokedama vibe in this class.

$50 / person
